So, I’ve been reading an essay by George Orwell, on the English language, Which I did because of something involving a school project, the 20th century, and a lot of Pot Holes. Long story. Anyway, then I decided to look up a word from the dictionary.

Egregious, from the Oxford Dictionaries.

Pronunciation: /ɪˈgriːdʒəs/

  • 1 outstandingly bad; shocking: (example: egregious abuses of copyright)

2 archaic remarkably good.

So, umm. Egregious means outstandingly bad. It used to mean remarkably good.

… I don’t get this English thing anymore.
